Dolasilla, daughter of the Queen of Fanes is the heroine of the legend of Fanes. This beautiful, wise and intelligent princess possessed a silver bow, and the arrows, cut from the reeds of a magic lake, never missed their mark. The princess's splendid shining silver armour could be seen from the mountains of Marmolada, Catinaccio and even gloomy Padon.
With these weapons and armour Dolasilla had no trouble in rapidly defeating the enemy. With great jubilation, the population accompanied the victorious princess along the paths to Val di Fassa. Here, the King, her father, placed the marvellous shining stone, the "Rajeta", on her head, crowning her sovereign of the legendary "Kingdom of Fanes". Thus began a glorious chapter in the history and splendour of the Kingdom of Fanes.
